The children had a fantastic party day today engaging in all things spooky!!! Spider Hats, Potion Making, Trick or Treating,

We are a small, private, family-owned nursery setting, based in the idyllic village of Waverton, opposite St Peter’s Church on the outskirts of Chester. We are based in a beautiful Old School, which is part of the national heritage of England in a grade II listed building owned by the Duke of Westminster. Conveniently located on Chesters prime commuter routes (just off the A41) making for easy drop off and pick up on your way to and home from work, with plenty of parking outside of the nursery. The nursery is home to just over 50 children from the ages of birth to 5 years.
We don’t have busy and noisy classrooms instead we are incredibly lucky to have the charming character of an old school combined with the calm and peaceful surroundings of rural old Waverton, which we believe helps children to grow and develop to reach their full potential!
Being a small nursery, we can adapt and change to our family’s needs which at this busy and challenging time we know parents appreciate. We treat every child as unique and we work with you, as a family, to ensure your child has the very best education and care.
We employ qualified and experienced staff that are nurturing and supportive to all our children. Many of our team have been with us for a long time so you can be sure that your child is in safe hands.
We follow a curriculum that is led by the children’s interests giving all children the opportunity to thrive and succeed!
We have a fantastic outdoor environment that is secure and exciting for all the children. This includes a gated courtyard, outdoor classroom, large tepee and forest school area.
The local farm (next door!) and bridle path along the canal mean that children can extend their learning in many different and exciting ways.
Children’s health and wellbeing is important. We grow some of our own vegetables and once a week let the children decide what they want to eat! We hold a 5-star food hygiene rating and have a chef on site to prepare nutritious and balanced meals.
The children are our future, so we teach them about the importance of looking after our planet. We recycle and reuse as much as possible and are always looking at ways to reduce our carbon footprint. The children are involved in planting, growing and cooking their own vegetables.

As the nursery is based in a small village, we have fantastic relationships with the local community and parents. We regularly visit the church (opposite the nursery) and have educational visits from the fire brigade, police and local farmers. We have an abundance of events where parents join us (including Father’s Day BBQ, Mother’s Day tea party, Nativity play, stay and plays) and we hold parents’ evenings twice a year.
Our mission is to provide a happy, safe, friendly, stimulating and educational environment for all children to play, learn and develop freely. We want to help children to develop responsibility for themselves and their actions and to become social, confident and independent individuals with a love of the outside world. This is underpinned by our curriculum, which follows children’s interests and treats every child as unique.
